A minute on Happy For Now Endings. I am not a fan of HFNs and I always feel like I have been short changed when I come across them in the wild. Especially when it is a standalone novel. One of the fundamental rules of the Romance genre is that things end happily ever after, so can HFN really fit in that framework? Does the presence of the happiness matter more than the length.
