A Minute on Illustrated Book Covers

A Minute on Illustrated Book Covers. There's been a lot of discussion about this on Booktube and I genuinely find it quite interesting. It is definitely noticeable that there are more illustrated covers around and more in mainstream publishing? I don't know if there's a specific reason for it or just lots of random reasons coinciding, but I also don't think there is anything nefarious around it either. I like pictures on covers and I can understand why some people might be uncomfortable with the overt positioning of a shirtless torso! We all have our different preferences and ultimately, there's something quite touching about everyone being able to share their reading interest in a manner that befits them by picking their preferred cover. What do you think? What's your preference?
