A Minute on Miscommunication
A Minute on Miscommunication. This is probably one of the most will known plot devices in Contemporary Romance literature. When it's done well, it can really add interesting dynamics to a story line and send protagonists on an unseen or unexpected journey. However, in my humble opinion, it is too readily used to bring drama to a story that didn't need it. Used in conjunction with the third act break-up and it is enough to make me roll my eyes so hard they gain muscle! Here's the thing, am I being a literary snob? Is miscommunication an important plot device or a divisionary tactic dressed up as something worthy?
