Book Review: Bruiser by Emmy Sanders
I have loved reading the Elite 8 Studios series so far, so I have been very excited and waiting patiently for a window to read Bruiser, the most recent release. I am so happy to report that it didn’t disappoint!
Bruiser, by Emmy Sanders, is book 7 in the Elite 8 studios series, and takes place twenty years earlier than the other books, at college where Trevor 'Bruiser' meets his Isaac. This is an opposites attract story with heaps of found family, poetry and chemistry that burns bright between two perfect main characters. I loved everything about this book from the moment Trevor and Isaac met.
I loved how fiesty, fierce and prickly Isaac was and that he didn't yield easily. He is not easily lovable, nor does he give his love freely, but when he fell for Trevor, he was his fiercest and loyal defender. I adored Trevor, his love of poetry, his love for his Uncle and that he never took to heart that people judged him for he looked but stayed focus on achieving his goal.
His adoration and love for Isaac was so beautiful to read and when he showed up for him at a key point in the story, complete swoon! I really like stories where characters see each other for who they truly are and not how the world sees them and Trevor and Isaac just recognised kindred spirts in each other. I loved the found family and blood family angle and found the exploration of Trevor starting his career as an adult entertainer (and Elite 8 studios) and the discovery of Isaac's cuckholding kink was really interesting. I think this is a great book, a good addition to the Elite 8 Studio series and an excellent 5/5 stars.
