Bookish Musings - 29.05.26
Hello! Another week draws to a close and it has been quite pleasant here in the UK! My oldest has been off school this week, so we took the opportunity to have a mini family break by the coast. It has been excessively hot and we definitely appreciated the cool sea breeze. My oldest loved dipping her toes in the sea, whereas my toddler very much did not! I hope the past week has all found you well, with plenty of opportunities for a good read! 📚💕
Picking Favourites?
A short and sweet musing this week. One of the things I enjoy most about the Bookish world is the wealth of book recommendations available. They are everywhere and I have liked picking some up and adding them to my TBR, which I now accept is never going to shorten. Inspired by this, I thought I would start to share some of my favourite books or books that really caught my attention. That should be easy, I thought to myself foolishly, I read enough! Well Dear Reader, it has not been easy at all! Mostly because when I try to think of books I have really liked my mind goes completely blank. I forget everything, which is quite extraordinary given how much I review! I suppose it is possible to have too much of a good thing and there are so many enjoyable books I have read recently, I think everything starts to merge into one! I am not to be defeated and as is becoming a developing theme for me, this is certainly not the worst bookish problem to have! I am going to re-double my efforts and start putting out recommendations (sporadically to begin with), which I hope you will enjoy as much as I have. In the meantime, if you are looking for inspiration, feel free to check out the Internet Recommends page, where I am keeping a living list of interesting book recommendations that I have come across.
