HEA Micro-podcasts Presents: Minutes on Happy For Now Endings

Minute on Happy For Now Endings (HFNs): I am not a fan of HFNs at all, and I always feel like I have been short changed when I come across them in the wild. Especially when it is a standalone novel. One of the fundamental rules of the Romance genre is that things end happily ever after, so can a HFN really fit in that framework? Does the presence of the happiness matter more than the length. I think it does, if I am honest? What do you think? Do you have HFN recommendations that might change my mind?
