Why Romance?
When I first started on my BookTube/Book blog journey, I filmed a short series of introductory chats (which I probably will revisit at some point). Reading has always been a huge part of my life both personally and professionally. As a child, it was one of my favourite ways to spend my time, it truly developed into a love. As a teenager, I very much became a reader of Romance novels - some age appropriate and some less so. I do have very fond memories of me and my peers swapping stories of dashing heroes and feisty heroines, Pride and Prejudice was a huge deal for us! My love of Romance continued through early adulthood and proved a trusty friend when studies and life weren’t particularly pleasant. Regrettably, for a time, adult life proved too demanding and I didn’t have time for leisurely reading (it did not help that I had to read for work) and I stopped for many years. Until five or so years ago, when on a whim I decided to read a Romance novel again and I haven’t really stopped ever since. My tastes may have changed and my preferences have widened but at heart, I will always be a huge advocate and lover of the Romance genre and all it entails. Reading is a joy and reading about adult Romantic love in all its forms, is even more of joy and I am truly excited to get to share that!
