A Minute on The Stepbrother’s Trope

A Minute on the Stepbrothers Trope. A good story trope to read but is it really controversial or taboo? Generally, although the romance is between two stepbrothers, in most of the versions I have read, the characters hate each other or barely spend anytime together! I genuinely like this trope and I have read some really good versions but I always feel it is being sold as something that it isn't? Does this matter? Should I care? It's English literature not Biology! As ever, these are my opinions and are meant in good humour! I'd be interested to hear what people think and please feel free to drop Step-sibling and/or step-brother MM recommendations.
