I am beginning the week with my semi-regular reading update! Gosh, if you were in the UK or Europe, you’ll have experienced quite the heatwave and it certainly was a lot! I am now playing catch-up as I ended up kiddie wrangling much of last week and there wasn’t much time for anything else. I am hoping the blog will be up to speed by the end of the week and as there is month transition during the week, there should be a couple more update posts as well. Here’s to a much cooler week ahead!
ARC Update
It is a busy time ARC wise and July is already completely full for me. I can definitely acknowledge that I have reached my limits, especially with School holidays on the horizon! I have just finished reading Fall for Me by Camilla Isley (Boldwood Books) and the review will be up this week. I am pleased to report it was an enjoyable read! Second Chances at the Hopeful Hearts Bookshop (Bookoture) is the next book up on my ARC list. As things currently stand, I have four books in place for July, three for August and two for September, but I know myself well enough to know these numbers are likely to change!
Currently Reading
I have a new strategy for reading, whereby weekdays are for ARCs and weekends are my TBR and it seems to be working so far! I am currently reading Century Trails by BA Tortuga, I am always a fan of her Cowboy romances! I haven’t read the original series and I don’t personally feel that’s put me at a disadvantage. I am really enjoying this book and I am excited about writing the review up soon.
Future Reads
Bookbub has became such a weakness for me and is probably the main supplier of my TBR at the moment! Barely Tattooed by Jade C. Jamison is one of probably 10s of books that I have had because it popped in my daily email. It caught my eye and is like to be read fairly soon. Similarly, The Best Book Boyfriend by Holly June Smith was recommended in a Newsletter and has bounced its way to the top. These aren’t July hopefuls per se, but I am keen to read them as soon as time will allow!
And that’s it for this week’s catch up!
